Technology at D2X

Digital assets trade round-the-clock, 365 days a year. Therefore, we are constantly seeking the most advanced technology to offer a fast and reliable trading interface. Rust allows us to achieve that in a productive way. Developing, testing and optimizing our codebase is the bread and butter of our Engineers.

Your Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of financial data from various sources, including market data feeds, trade records, and user activity
• Data Modeling and Warehousing: Develop and optimize data models and data warehousing solutions to support real-time and scheduled analytics, reporting, retention and business intelligence needs
• Scalability and Performance: Architect and manage systems that can handle high-frequency trading data, ensuring low latency and high availability through stages in entity lifetimes
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and improve data storage, processing, and analytics infrastructure, running both on-premises and in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
• Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with industry and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Flink)
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading systems is a plus
• Experience with a Systems Programming Language (e.g. C, C++ or Rust)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment
