The QHSE Manager will play a strategic and dynamic role in establishing and leading the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment functions within our organization. This role will be instrumental in ensuring compliance to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environment in industry across all our operations, with a particular focus on our projects in the Defense market.

Responsibilities:

• Elevate our Quality Management Systems (QMS) to surpass industry standards, advancing the operational excellence of our fiber optic sensing solutions.
• Guide, coordinate and follow up with our plans to ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environment frameworks and policies, methods, processes, standards.
• Build and lead a small team of QHSE officers, able to stay on top of the organization’s growth and scale-up.
• Lead the design and implementation of robust processes, such as compliance, requirements management and risk management, to enhance the security and integrity of our operation.
• Elevate our efforts to protect our intellectual property, ensuring the security of our cutting-edge technology and confidential data.
• Responsible for document management systems, continuous improvement, process management, certification management.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Validation and Testing procedures, ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and effectiveness of our fiber optic sensing solutions.
• Assist the Project Management Office (PMO) across various stages, including initial setup, smooth progression, and effective management during audits.
• Conduct external and internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements.
• Champion a culture of learning, innovation, and Knowledge Management to drive efficient operations and elevate QHSE awareness among employees through effective training and coaching.
• Establish a robust framework for monitoring and reporting QHSE performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders in both markets.
• Stay current with evolving industry regulations, best practices, and compliance requirements related to quality assurance, safety, security, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A proven track record of at least 7 years in Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, and Environment management, preferably in the defense or energy sectors.
• Experience with ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO14001 and AQAP standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to building strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical involvement in global environmental matters, along with the skill to produce exceptional outcomes spanning from initial stages to full implementation.
• Prior experience in top-tier structuration, process enhancement, and thorough documentation.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; Dutch is a nice-to-have.
