Marketing Growth Lead / Head of Marketing – Netherlands Based (Hybrid)

As a Marketing Growth Lead, you will report directly to the CRO and oversee a small team of three (Graphic Designer, CRM Specialist, Content Marketing Specialist). In addition, you will manage and provide strategic input to the Paid Acquisition agency, as well as collaborating closely with the Product Lead and the Data Lead. Your role involves driving the marketing/growth strategy approach across various markets, with a specific focus on developed English-speaking countries and South Africa, targeting African immigrants and expats.
More specifically you will:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing/growth strategies ensuring they are aligned with the company goals and market trends.
Implement acquisition strategies encompassing referrals, paid, organic, and social channels. Conduct conversion and retention experiments with a marketing mindset, driving innovation for customer happiness and growth.
Collaborate in refining and experimenting user funnels.
Develop and execute a strong paid performance strategy, overseeing campaigns across platforms and markets and providing strategic input to an external agency.
Oversee the team’s efforts and offer strategic input on CRM funnels, content planning, brand campaigns and design materials.
You will strategically manage and experiment with various marketing channels such as PR, SEO, website optimization, and offline marketing efforts.
Apply data analytics to shape strategies and gauge the success of marketing campaigns, operating with a focus on targets and a quarterly scaling-up cadence.
Leverage user research findings to gain valuable insights and refine acquisition and retention strategies.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.

You have demonstrated success in significantly growing a business, with a clear role in strategising and executing growth initiatives.
You have experience in developing various growth models and strategies with a proven track record of successful implementation.
You have experience in both paid and organic channels, referral programs, and other marketing avenues.
You are skilled in creating and working with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and reflecting and steering on the most important KPIs.
You have strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data in decision-making processes.
You have some experience in leading, developing or even mentoring a marketing team.
You are comfortable with execution, capable of leading by example and possessing the ability to transform challenges into scalable solutions.
You are a good communicator and able to adept when engaging within the company and users emphasising on clarity; less is more.
